About the program
How to participate
Participation in the Future Leaders program is by nomination only. ITI Fellows are eligible to nominate candidates once annually, typically in October/November following an official invitation from ITI Headquarters.
The program targets young dental professionals who are emerging leaders in implant dentistry. Ideal candidates show strong motivation to contribute to the ITI, commit to its purpose, vision and mission, and have demonstrated early leadership success in one of these areas:
Networking
Proven ability to build communities in dentistry through study clubs, societies, conferences, workshops, online platforms, or similar initiatives.
Education
Successful track record as a speaker, educator, course creator, education platform builder or social media influencer in dentistry.
Academics
Strong academic credentials such as top 10% graduation, high-impact publications, or established international networks.
Entrepreneurship
Strong track record of value creation for patients or customers through exceptional clinical practices, consulting services, education businesses, product development, or patents.
Selection and mentorship
Young ITI Global
Under the umbrella of the Future Leaders program, participants form the Young ITI Global Task Force.
In this role, they:
- Act as ambassadors for Young ITI worldwide
- Implement and run initiatives for young professionals
- Foster networking and exchange among national/regional Young ITI groups
- Inspire and connect the next generation of dental professionals
One member serves as the Young ITI Global Liaison, joining the Leadership Development Committee for a two-year term.
