Esthetics for Implant RDPs
This lecture demonstrates that removable dental prosthesis (RDP) esthetics in combination with implant therapy can help to restore the patient’s autonomy and quality of life. Detailed information is shared about how to improve the esthetic outcome of a removable prosthesis. The foundation for the esthetic outcome is divided into facial, tooth, and soft tissue components, and each of these components is thoroughly described. Principles of tooth arrangement, vertical dimension, and lip support are explained in detail. Numerous photographs illustrate how incorporating both perfection and imperfection into the prosthesis can create the perception of ‘realness.’
At the end of this Congress Lecture you should be able to…
- describe principles of proper tooth selection and arrangement
- discuss the parameters for esthetic rehabilitation
- describe the principles of smile design
