Factors for Long-term Treatment Outcomes
Long-term success in implant dentistry is based on the primary outcome of an implant-prosthetic complex taken as a whole. This presentation addresses current trends and scientific evidence on risk assessment, treatment planning, and implant prosthodontic considerations as indicators of treatment success. In particular, the most frequently used criteria to define treatment success for implant rehabilitations are updated. These include implant level, peri-implant soft tissue, prosthodontics, and patient satisfaction parameters. Additionally, the potential of digital dental technology to improve the accuracy of care delivery according to a specified treatment plan and to reduce complications is presented as a factor for ensuring long-term outcomes.
At the end of this Congress Lecture you should be able to…
- discuss modern treatment planning tools and their impact on the treatment selection process
