WS2024 - New Digital Possibilities – Simultaneous Implant and Final Bridge Placement

Stephen T Chen, Philip Leong Biow Tan

ITI World Symposium 2024 clinical video by Stephen Chen and Philip Tan - part of the "Digital Workflows" session.

This presentation demonstrates the use of digital technologies to improve the patient experience. Attendees will see a comprehensively validated workflow that allows a patient to receive an immediately loaded definitive Zirconia bridge at the time of implant surgery. Such an approach eliminates the need for post-operative impressions and construction of the prosthesis. The patient experiences a transition from their existing teeth to a new prosthesis in a seamless fashion, eliminating time without teeth and the need to fabricate a secondary prosthesis after healing. Key to success includes proper patient selection, data collection requirements, manipulation of the digital data, surgical technique and post-operative care and compliance.

At the end of the clinical vide you should be able to...

  • describe the difference between this procedure and the existing alternative treatment methods
  • understand the patient selection criteria for this clinical procedure
  • explain the necessary tools and data required to screen a patient for this procedure
