Emergence - A Triple Threat

Emergence - The Triple Threat

The restoration emergence profile of an implant supported restoration needs to be considered prior to implant placement, at the time of restoration design and placement, then during the maintenance phase. Inappropriate emergence can have a negative impact on the surrounding hard and soft tissue, in the worst case leading to peri-implant disease. Learn from three different perspectives how emergence profile can be assessed, managed and altered if required.

Dr Jen Chantler: Where is the state of the evidence on emergence profile and the influence on soft tissue/bone

Jennine Bywaters: Maintaining the compromised implant, why access for plaque control and probing is paramount

Scott Freeman: What actually happens when clinicians ask for the prothesis to be adjusted for cleansability (and how much does it cost)
