Title: Pre-implant site development: Options for ideal implant placement.
Dental implants are a popular commonly used devices to restore edentulous areas. Most of the time, not enough hard and soft tissue are present, and the clinician needs to utilize different techniques and material to develop sites for implant placement. The goals and learning objectives of this lecture are:
1. Ideal Implant placement
2. How, when and where to place implant
3. When do I need hard and soft tissue grafting?
4. Site development strategies

Speaker: Lorenzo Mordini, DDS, MS
Assistant Professor, Department of Periodontology Tufts University School of Dental Medicine
Lorenzo Mordini graduated cum laude from University of Modena School of Dentistry, Italy in 2008. After working in private practice in Italy, he moved to Boston, USA to complete the AEGD residency at Boston University, H. Goldman School of Dental Medicine. He graduated in Periodontology from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine. In the same institution he also completed the Master of Science, focusing on Guided Bone Regeneration clinical research. Dr Mordini is a diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology. He lectures nationally and internationally, and he is author of scientific literature as well as co-author of books on Periodontal and Implant Therapy.
He is ITI Fellow and Recipient of Nevins Biohorizon Fellowship and ADEA/AAL Institute for Teaching and Learning (ITL) Award from AAP Foundation.
Dr. Mordini works in private practice and as an Assistant Professor in Periodontology at Tufts University.
